1) You can find the list for the small ones under the comments you write. Just click the link that says "Emoticons", and a list will appear with the images beside the code. You need to include the " : " dots beside the codes... For example, : meow: (without the spaces) becomes .
2) the larger ones are called "plz accounts". They are made by the users rather than the site itself. The code comes from the option to post a user's icon by typing :icon____: with the line replaced by a user's name. For example, my icon would be :icon_legotemper: (WITHOUT the line in between). It would appear as The reason they are called "plz accounts" is because some users create an account just so the rest of us users can use them as dynamic visuals with our comments. They usually have "plz" on the end of the username. So :icon_smilieplz: (without the line) would be .
